The family I had growing up is all but a memory now. Children move away. We start our own families. But it's the trip we make home again that is so important. Family can be crazy and infuriating. But it's also what matters most. Sometimes it takes a lifetime to figure that out. John Grogan

Easter picnic

We had an Easter picnic with the Kuhlmann family at the Ivins park. It was good to see all the family that came. We hope to have a family gathering planned every 3 to 4 months so we don't get so out of touch with everyone and hope that those that didn't make it this time can come next time. Here are a few pics from that day.

Yardwork

Have been working hard in the yard on planting trees, putting up fence and electrical wire for the water feature in the meditation garden. Fruit trees planted are pear, plum, peach, apple and nectarine.

To Houston for a visit

Our trip to Houston to see Candice and Garrett was really fun. We went to the zoo, went to an Astro's baseball game, went to a local garden and planted some bushes in the back yard (Gardenia and Hibiscus). Candice and I did some experimental vegetarian cooking. Some good, one not so good. I'm not sold on tofu yet! We didn't want to leave but someone has to work!!!
